I'm really i love with this girl?

We are very close! Yet I do not know what to do as she does not love me back. I want to remain very close with her yet my love seems to irritate her and she tries not to show it. I feel very sad as I also feel pathetic though she does not know this. I know that it makes her feel very uncomfortable though she tries to accept it. Sometimes she cannot and her frustration shows. I try to hold in my emotions at times but I cannot. It is the way I stare at her, smile at her, and complement her and it shows blatantly. How do I remain close, hang out and talk to her daily.....and loose the attraction that pains me deeply...all at once?
