Doesn't America's extreem indebtedness insure continued deflation?

Won't stocks and property values continue to decline in value? Many serious economists (such as David Rosenberg) see such deflation in the cards. Rosenberg predicted the last crisis and is still pessimistic. I'm an optimist by nature but I cannot ignore the poor fundamentals and government negligence in managing the nations finances.
